Very happy with the rear brake conversion and other info

Recommended Posts

finally found time to install the rear brakes and I have been driving around with this conversion for over a month now (5000mi) and all I can say is that I should have done it over 15 yrs ago...effortless too stop...the rear wheels will not lock up under wet conditions and on gravel roads which I have tried numerous times to do... so I can only assume at this time the proportioning valve works great with this set up...soon the snow will come, and I will try again to lock them up

I've done over a dozen of these conversions; never had any concern about the proportioning valve (if there is one or not). I concur, you should have done it a long time ago. It's one of the easiest and nicest updates you can do to the car.

I agree to what you have said...plus the extra feeling of added driving security is an extra bonus...

Sorry front and rear rotors are different, especially when the EA81's went to vented front rotors. Before then they might be the same, but I'm not sure.
