Cliff
Whenever I take an exit ramp that circles to the right at a speed over about 30-35mph the engine begins to erupt in loud valve chatter and starts blowing oil out the exhaust. Anyone have an answer to this besides "slow down!". Is this a windage problem that can be solved or just the nature of the beast?
TROGDOR!
Your PCV valve is bad and is blowing oil into the intake. On long right turns, the oil is pushed down the intake tube and into the throttle body. Replace the PCV valve and your problem will be solved. Snowman
Clean out all the PCV lines while you are at it.
baccaruda
i used spray carb cleaner and a tool made from some solid core wire and a chopped-in-half .45 handgun cleaning brush to clean my PCV lines...
EmmCeeBee
Lucky I keep this bookmarked This PDF has the entire scoop. It was a Subaru recall for early Loyales. http://home.comcast.net/~c.moe/pvc_mod.pdf -- Mark
subieman
Yes I highly recommend this mod! Well it's not a mod, more of a fix from Subaru. My loyale was smoking really bad on right turns. I installed this PCV kit and the problem went away! Your local subaru dealer should have one instock. If not pull the PCV kit off a 92 or newer loyale from the junk yard. Good Luck
