Evereddie
Hey guys, should be simple but I can't get the plug off of the coolant sensor on a 94 Legacy wagon GT. Must be a clip on it I can't see way back in there. No on else seems to have had issues with it so I'm feeling stupid but feeling stupid still doesn't get it off. :-\ Cold start probs and it looks like this needs replaciing. Evereddie
Well I finally found a post where it talks about this. Looks like I just squeeze which I have tried but no luck. Will go squeeze some more!
porcupine73
I had problems getting the connector off too. I kept playing with it with a pair of needle nose pliers and/or a screwdriver I think and it finally popped off.
nipper
Be gentle but forceful. The connector is sealed from the elements so sometimes that gaskit can make things stick. nipper
Evereddie
I just can't get it. I can't tell where to squeeze. It looks like the release is on the side I can't see facing the center of the engine. I was reluctant to put pliers on it since in the past these plastic connectors have shattered but not worried any more. I'm ready to just rip it off, buy a new connector and splice it in. For those that have got this off, is the release lever near the back end just after the wires or further up the connector. Thanx
Manarius
I used a small screw driver in aiding the removal of the plug.
avk
I got vacuum hoses and wiring bundles out of the way so I could reach the tab.
