Two more questions: park light and electric fan

- that AT-signals must have some use :)), perhaps I will do your improvement also.

There are differences , I think my super-station was never sold in the USA , the one with a higher roof.

It it not very dificult , one wire of the fan is permanently connected to + 12 volt , via a standard fuse, and in the acc. and run position of the ign. switch ,the other one (yellow wire) via the open or closed radiator thermo switch to ground.

The yellow wire gives a signal to the computer.

Hals und Beinbruch !

You're right about the fan having power always and being grounded by either the theromswitch, or the A/C rad fan relay. It's not the same as the A/C power relay. A/C fan relay is seperate, activated by the pressure switch in the A/C line. But the computer(ECU) is not involved. It cannot signal or sense the radiator fan in any way. They are not connected, it's all relays and switches.

I have seen just a few of those *super sedans* here. Very cool, higher top would be nice for cargo and wake-up head room on camping trips.

I will make some photos of my Superstation when the rust is gone :) Currently I'm working on the tailgate (which is approx 6 cm longer than the normal station version - so there is not much choice for used ones), but it's soon finished.

Sadly my other thermo switches aren't here and I can't get to that other place without tailgate (at least I don't want to), so I couldn't do any testing this weekend.

So, I've finally solved the problem: It was a combination of a defective thermo switch and a blown fuse. After re-checking everything twice, I finally solved this issue. Thanks for all help and suggestion!!

my "brake light" indicator on my dash comes on when i press on brakes and stays on when i turn on headlights. yes bulbs are good. has something to do with the wiring for my trailer hitch.

Start a new thread. Are you talking about the *STOP LIGHT* red indicator on the lower dash? or the E-brake light? Shot in the dark but do you have a single pole bulb in the stop lamp socket? It takes a 2 pole bulb
