Hella moisture in headlights, cant find replacements

Okay what am I doing wrong?

85 GL wagon 4wd tan in color- the square "boxy" body style. They're EVERYWHERE for frick-sake!!! Hell, every other member has an avatar of one!

I've got hella moisture in both headlight housings and I'm hoping I can improve my nightime illumination by replacing them. But the kind I need doesn't come up in my search results. All the online Autoparts "warehouse" stores keep coming up with these square things. Which are NOT the ones I need, In fact they're not even close.

You know the wagons have the slightly tapered rectangular ones with the replaceable lamp.

What else would they be called?

...here's where in 2 minutes from now I'll check back and find a ton of replies with links direclty to what I need making me feel like a total noob . Thanks though.

~EDIT~

Even checked ebay... nothing! WTF I see more of these cars than any other single model car on earth! Someones gotta have a pair!

They are dealer/junk yard only. They are not really designed to ever be "replaced" unless one breaks or cracks or something, and they are usually quite expensive - especially new ones.

You need to bake them in an oven to loosen the cement holding the glass on then pry it off and clean them up inside. Bake em again an press them back together.

There's a few members that have done it - I'll see about having my friend chime in on the exact procedure.

I'm pretty sure I need to replace at least one. I think it's developing rust-like coating against the mirrored portion.

You gave me a good idea though, I could bake them, not to take them apart but to evaporate the moisture out then seal the chips. Problem is, they don't put out hardly any illumination. If you look at them head-on they look plenty bright but I have to drive around with the highbeams on just to see 20' in front of me at night. And yes, they're adjusted properly, I checked that already.

I'm open to buy a set if someone has a junker in the yard.

Can you post a picture of the car? I'm going to be going to at least one, maybe 3 yards between today and tuesday, all of which are known for a large soob collection. I'll be happy to see what i can find if you can give me a good idea of what im looking for. My favorite part of the junkyards is that most of the cars there are nicer than the one i just bought!!

JUNKYARDS ROCK!!!!:headbang:

I have a pair of those off an 86GL in my shed.

Don't remember right off what condition they are in. Couldn't have been to bad or they would have went out with the scrap metal run.

I have used both the bulbs out of them on my other cars.

If your interesed in them 211 I will check condition and get back to you.

Yes I'd be incredibly interested

If you'd like to check the condition of them that'd be great, and keep me posted.

RdNkBrt, if you feel like checking out some lenses for me I'd really appreciate that too!

Realistically guys, I couldn't afford more than about $50.00 or so for the pair, plus whatever shipping would cost. I'm in the middle of a bathroom tile project that is getting out of control and I don't have much xtra moolah.

Do appreciate everyone's willingness to help me out!

BTW Same style as GoldDiggerRoo's image of the maroon wagon...

OK, got them out of the shed and they look great.

Only issue I can see is the passenger side one is missing the metal mounting/adjustment bucket.

No issues with the reflective material and the lens are quite clear.

Can get you some pic's it you like.

I also have a passenger light assembly (Complete) from a 91 Loyale that I'm presently parting out. It looks to be the same but I'm no expert.

If some one else can verifty for you that they are the same, that would make a complete bolt right in set up.
