IS THERE ANY WAY TO FIND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS? iS THERE A FUSE OR ANYTHING THAT COULD CAUSE IT TO COME ON? ALL OF THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTINS ARE PLUGGED INTO EACH WHEEL. Start with checking the battery, it's terminal connections, and altenator charging system. Slightly low voltage can sometimes trigger the Brake and/or ABS indicators (have personally experienced this). nipper Posted December 16, 2006 Share Posted December 16, 2006 Start as stated above. the second most common reason is a dirty sensor. You just need to get under the car remove and clean the sensors (wipe them off). subie94 Posted December 16, 2006 Share Posted December 16, 2006 not meaning to hi-jack but... has anyone ever replace the sensors? i have one that got damaged when that notched wheel some how came loose while driving an chewed up the sensor end.. i'm hopeing that it'll be simple (i'm sure it won't be cheap) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
porcupine73 Posted December 16, 2006 Share Posted December 16, 2006 Yah the ABS wheel speed sensor is about $120 OE. Did the tone wheel get damaged as well? Replacement looks pretty straightforward.
