monk50
Just purchased a cargo net for the 05 LL Bean and unlike most other things purchased the instructions seem poor or they the dealer gave me the wrong net set up. According to the instruction there should be a pre-located spot to drill holes to screw in two plastic headed bolts to attach the top of the cargo net. The lower section connects to the cargo tie downs on the floor, but...... I can not locate the places to drill for the top screw in bolts. Any help? Did I get the wrong net? Has anyone done this for the 05 LL Bean? Would appreciate wisdom of the board as I am not located close to a dealer. monk50 in NC 05 LL bean outback 95 legacy LS

Ranger83
I have an 06 3.0R wagon. There were no pre-marked holes. I just drilled them at the height of the net, directly above the hooks that attach the lower portion of the net. I drilled a small hole, then used the full-size bit so it wouldn't walk. The fasteners tighten up with a few turns. It takes longer to get the drill and bits together than it does to install it.

It would not seem strong enough to hold much at all drilled into the plastic panel. Thanks for the help
Ranger83
You just drill holes in the plastic. It seems pretty robust.

Ranger83
It took longer to type these messages than it does to install this product - including drilling the holes.
