PeterD
ok i know this is probalby a dumb question but i have spent the last half hour trying to find out the differences between the first generation legacies. Im looking for a few parts and it seems to separate them from 92-> are the pre 92 legacies differn't... if so what is it. :-\
stumpy
Seems to be quite a bit of difference for some reason, even though they look the same The 4eat will not interchange between those years! Body parts on the front of 90-91 are an inch shorter than the 92 and newer. Different rad frame support. AC condensor and some of the hoses are different There may be more but this is what I'm aware of right off the top of me head. Stumpy

PeterD
The radio has an AUX input jack... I know it works great with my Ipod:banana: Is the susupenstion didfferent. I even saw alot of spacific things they look for when you get a new front axle.
DerFahrer
The 4eat will not interchange between those years! Sure they will! There might be some TCU/wiring differences that I might not know about, but any 4EAT from any 90-94 Legacy will bolt up. The 90-91s look like so, this is my 91: Then the 92-94s look like this, this is the 93 wagon my grandfather had: All axles will interchange. Doesn't matter if it's AT or MT, FWD or AWD. The struts are technically different, but will interchange.
PeterD
thanks guys. still alot to learn about these cars.
Manarius
Basically, aside from some body changes, dashboard changes, and another thing or two, the cars are EXACTLY the same. Sure, the A/C system manufacturers may be different, but it's all the same stuff. Now, the fuel rails on the 92-94 N/A cars are different from those of the 90-91 N/A cars, but they will interchange just fine. Oh, and in 1992, the swaybar went to C-Type endlinks, not drop style like the 1990-91.
Skid542
There is also some small differences in the suspension in that the 90-91 had tapered rear springs and the 92-94 don't. *I think that's how it went, though I do know there was a difference.
