Sweet82
Went Off-roadin over the Holidays! Took some pics because I couldn't believe how well the SnoBuggy worked in 15" to 20" of snow. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=13823&cat=500&ppuser=584 http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=13826&cat=500&ppuser=584 Went over snowmobile trails and got the strangest looks? Never did get stuck and I sure asked for it. Too much traction! The only problems I found were at the end of the trails I had to "bank-bash" zzzto get past the snowplow piles to get back on the roads. And some of the hill climbs sure sucked the power out of that old 1800 engine. With 26" tires in deep snow, hills climbs, sure make me wish I had more motor! http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=13824&cat=500&ppuser=584 SnoBuggy after a good flogging. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=13825&cat=500&ppuser=584 SnoBuggy after a nice cold bath. I love my SnoBuggy:D Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer--SnoBuggy! 84 GL Mad Max--Needs new plugs 01 Forester--Serious traction action

ninjaben43
26 in. tires? they look like atv tires, are they actually tractor tires? like on the front of a 4wd kubota or something?
Sweet82
No Kubota tires although I wish I had the gears of a Kubota. Dirt Devil ATV tires 26X12X12. The lugs are 1.25" and I was running 12 psi. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=11729&cat=500&perpage=12&sort=3&ppuser=584 http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=4968&cat=500&perpage=12&sort=3&ppuser=584 I switch off between some truck tires and the ATV tires depending on the situation. A few weeks before these pics were taken, the truck tires did better on the same terrain? (a little over a foot of grainy powder snow) I wanted to go play with "Summer" this weekend but it's suppose to be 8 for a high and - in the lows.:-\
