soobmater
I need some help with my motor, Well this is what happned, i was going threw these massive ruts, over the top of the tires.... And well, lets just say when i am in danger of getting stuck i get these random appearing lead weights in my shoes??? So anyway, i had the motor tourning about , well lets not say how many rpm's but lets just call it wound out really high And it was doing alright then it sputtered a couple times and died, and wouldnt start back up... Well, what could it be? If its to bad new motor time, but what are some possiblilites ? I tried pouring some gas down the carb, no luck.. It turns over just fine, just doesnt start... Thanks for help in advance. -Soobmater
DrKrazy
Have you checked for spark/see if ignition rotor is turning? Placing my bets on a snapped driver's side t-belt if that hasn't been checked yet... These babies can handle the high revs

DrKrazy
If it's still turning over and not sounding strange (popping noises, grinding, etc) guessing it's not bad but you never know. Could also have the dreaded screw fell out of the rotor problem (if you have that type of rotor/cap). Redline? Blah my lifted rig see's it all the time

I was just hoping its something simple .. Well its kind of a rump roast to work with my distributer, i have about a inch thick layer of grease on it to keep out water.. mikeshoup
7k really isn't much for an EA82, considering the SPFI ones redline at 6500. Check the ignition components and make sure you're getting spark. You checked the timing belts, but did you check if they a jumped a couple teeth? I could see that happening. Good luck! soobmater
Ok well the rotor is turning, and it has no spark... Could it be the ignition module thing? The one thats 180$...
Turbone
I would check all your ign wiring, you might have knocked something loose. Might want to check your marbles also, think some of those might have fallen out also:rolleyes:
