Prospeeder
Well i have a stiff clutch pedal. The pedal also liked to stick when it got really cold out also. Very annoying, well i lost a part of the cable to my hillholder so i disconnected it, havent had to problem since, the pedal is much easier and it has never once stuck and its been really cold latley. So much for buying that new cable, i stil have it in the original package so if anyone wants it lemmie know, i spent 29$ and 5$ shipping for it. So if your having stiff clutch problems, and ur hillholder doesnt work anyway, disconnect the cable or replace it, it may be the problem
wesley willis
my clutch was stiff because of a really burly return spring. got a factory one and all was well. when i bought the car the HH was disconnected for some reason so i never missed not having it. could the cable be lubed up too? (sorry, first manual transmission car.)
Phizinza
You should be able to get some WD40 (or what ever) into the cable.. As for the hill holder.. Why can't people just use their hand on the handbrake on hills?
Prospeeder
im fast enough with the clutch and gas i dont (if barley) roll back to go.
daeron
keep the cable... Those things don't last forever, from what I hear. Apparently there is an adjustment on it.. how close to maxed out is your adjustment? IIRC, they like to "stretch" over time and eventually you cant tighten it any further.. If you are closer to bottoming out your adjusment, it may be a good idea to go ahead and change it anyhow.

Milemaker13
what exactly is a hillholder? Its a funny little feature on some of the cars that stops the car on a hill from rolling backward. It seems unnessary, but it is nice once in a while. I thought WTF when I first heard. Then I went about trying it at hill stops n' lights. Mine works good. It is the same as holding the hand brake. When you press both the clutch and the brake pedal at the same time, hillholder holds the brake for you, alowing you to use your right foot for the gas instead of the brake. It helps on steep hills in traffic. Its kinda cool, if it works well. I'll keep mine! It goes unnoticed unless you intend to use it, then it is already there for you!
