Slow Soob!!! Possible carb issues?

Recommended Posts

Hello, I was just driving home today(got ball joints in, finally:clap: ) and decided to see what she could do. Could not pull past just about 72 mph. Now, I was hoping for at least 80.

Now, rewind 7 hours, to when I just got out of school. I was chasing after a friend, and turned, shifted to 2nd, and the car started to bog down, I took out of gear, and engine died. Sat for a minute, fuming, then cranked, fired over, died, cranked, and ran fine. Now, I am new to the field of carburetion, but could it be an issue with that? And could the extreme slowness be related to the bogging issue? Thanks!

P.S. On a side note, what should I use for an oil pump, Subaru, or is there a suitable alternative? Same question for water pump.

Zeb reminder of what GD said

Fuel Filters

The one in the engine compartment is called a

fuel separator, it to is a fuel filter,

the real filter is under the car by the fuel pump.

It is the first line of defense and the one that

needs serviced first.
