2alaskasubee
Please help, someone somewhere must have had this problem. I have an 85 brat (ea-81, dr4wd, hitachi carb and dist. without a/c). I had the swinging tach problem, so I pulled a dist out of a parts car and threw it in the brat (same motor, same dist). Now, I have no spark=====>WHAT DID I MISS. I do have power to th coil, and correct resistance. I have verified all fuses and fusible links. Any help will be appreciated. thanks, Ross

Jerry DeMoss
Did you get the timing marks lined up properly when you put in the new disty? I would also take the cap off and see if the rotor turns when it is cranked over. That would be where I would start.
naru
Parts car had a bad ignition module. You should be able to make 1 good disty out of your 2 bad ones.
