be patient,if you do it methodically,it will go better for you.i went through and undid all the wiring that i caould see, reach first.then dismantle all of your knobs(ie lights, wipers, etc off of the heater slidesetc.)then start at one side and work your way to the other undoing bolts.in other words,do the obvious first ,thaan get after the stuff you have no idea about.the most difficult about any of these dashes is the ea-81 ,it has i think three bolts that are right next to the windshield under some "covers".the angle on those wasa tad difficult for me at one point.but that is it.you might be thinking of minimizing alot of stuff under there.once you get into it ,you will realize that it may be harder than it should be to consolidate all of that junk in there.or you could be thinking of a roll cage install,in which just the corners of the dash next to the window would need to be cut.anyways,it's not that hard.if you are worrying about breaking things,i would do a test run on one of your other brats sos you can get an idear.

Don't do it!!!

Why are you pulling it in the first place?

Couple of reasons, I want to start on another Brat to transfer all my lifted stuff onto, and have an idea on what to do with the dash, and the Brat I plan on using has a MINT dash (not one crack or mar:eek: ) and I don't want to trash it.

Monstaru - THANKS greatly, I appreciate it. I do have one or two cars I could practice on, and I could always go to the junkyard and practice as well, I wouldn't have to put anything back or feel bad about it.:) Thanks for the help everyone.

I pulled the whole dash out of my legacy wreck (for the wiring loom.) Wasn't too hard to get out, maybe 3 - 4 hours. But I would not want to put it back in. In stead I reckon I'd just make up a alloy plate with a few bends, lots of holes + gauges, and lots of switches... The original dash ain't that great anywho. I'm guessing this may be someone elses idea too  I'll wait and see. :)

Hope these help, sry i didnt remover the heater core assembly, but i really had no need. as for tips.....take ur time, i put all bolts and screws in plastic bags for each side of the car, marked all wire connectors with sharpie markers so i know how they all go back together, as for those top screws along the wind shield, a regular 10mm ratchet squeezes in fine for the outer too but for the middle one i had to make my own tool, i used a 10mm socket and a bent flat head screwdriver to get it in there. im sure a regular 10mm wrench would work just fine though(something i didnt have).
