MachineAgeVictim
I'm having trouble getting the piston back into the caliper to make room for the new pads, the piston doesn't seem to rotate and wont go back under compression, any ideas? these are the Bendix brakes I believe
Jerry DeMoss
If the piston won't turn in then chances are the piston is a little siezed up.One trick I have used is to smack the back side of the caliper with a rubber mallet or deadblow hammer. That should help to free it up. moosens
Jeff,Haven't heard from you.I sent emails,or PM's I think too.Windshield gaskets are shipping.Email or PM me,please.I replied to the Paypal payment address from your initial payment. That much I'm sure of.Talk to you soon, Paul Oh,and try some WD-40 or stronger, inside the dust boot around the piston.Let it sit facing upward for a bit, then go try it.. Seriously nice rebuilts on eBay.Randy "Mofoco" has them.Right around $49 I think.THey'll show up cheaper once in awhile, but only after you already bought them. idosubaru
caliper rebuild kits are cheap and easy to do. i've seen the kits for between $5 and $15 before and that's for both calipers.
