hatchsub
Hey i just finished up an auto to manual swap and was wondering if there are different shocks/struts for manual tranny cars verses autos? It seems to be sitting a bit higher in the front than it did before as there is something like a 50 pound weight difference between the trannys. Thanks for the help guys. [HTi]Savage
Most of the 2wd cars came with (EA82) a regular non adjustable strut. However the gl cars like the 4wd hatches (EA81) had adjustable front struts. posture adjustment as they where called. As far as I know, these are the only struts that where seen. I think that the gl10 cars have the adjustables too. So look at the struts if there is flat plate under the coil spring with a 21 mm nuts on each side, u have adjustables. It will lift the car a few inches but the camber will be affected. Lawrence.
