mikeshoup
In the mornings when I turn on my heater I get a brief sweet smell. Suspect its the heater core. Where do you buy a heater core for an EA81? I found one place that has them for $119... more than I want to spend. Also, they have a separate listing for w and w/o A/C. Is there a difference? Also, while I have the dash apart, what else should I replace? Something about the heater control valve? What is that and where can I get it? Thanks! Durania
Figured I would beat the rest of you all to it by saying junkyard.

With how much work goes into replacing a heater core, I'm not going to spend 4 hours tearing a dash apart at a junkyard just to get another leaky heater core. Jonas: That eBay heater core lists its for EA81s, EA82s, Justys, etc. I don't think they're the same, so I'm not really going to trust I'll get the right part. Thanks for trying though! Caboobaroo
LUVMYBRAT still has one in his turbo Brat Mike. I bet he'd let you have it if you come up and take the dsh out to get it. I know its good since I drove the car for a little while... He wants the mint dash so I bet if you take it out, he'd give you the heater core;)

That's 308 miles round trip. With mileage at about 20mpg in my wagon, that's $35 in gas round trip. Gonna need more from you than a heater core if I go up there. Just let me know what all you still need and I'll see if I have it.

GeneralDisorder
At that price I would definately grab one as you may find you need it instead of the core when you get inside there. I've heard more cases of the valve failing than the core itself (with regard to leakage, not clogging). GD
