northguy
How badly do YOU want o do this? If you don't, charge the PITA price.
Turbone
If you have never done this, your in for a PITA. Call Napa and get a price on silicone hose. If its going to be done do all the turbo water lines. You may have to (most likeyl) lift the intake to replace them, so that means you will also need the gaskets for that. Do hope you have a manual? 88rxsedan
to replace the water line on the bottom of the turbo?? that was not too bad at all, only took me about 40 mins..

XSNRG
That hose doesn't come by the foot, it's a molded hose, get a OEM unit.
Caboobaroo
you can also go and make it pretty and get the 10mm blue ricer silicone hose from Schucks or Knects for like 20 bucks I think
soobme
DO NOT use the blue sil. hose from schmucks! I don't know where they get it frrom but it is of VERY low quality. I blew the top turbo line(water) in 2 days when I used that stuff:boohoo:
Nug
It's good for vacuum hose, and covering other hoses, and that's about it.
Turbone
As I stated in my first post:banghead: Go to NAPA. They sell it by the foot, in different diameters. And its not the blue crap, its orange/brown in color. I know its not perty, but it works. Rob
88rxsedan
get the molded hose with the foil **** on it, wasnt that hard to change either, clamps were a biaach, but if you take the spare tire holder / strut bar / all heat sheilds out and reach WAY under there, tis not bad at all
baccaruda
do the molded foil coolant hose and the oil hose.. both dealer parts. i went in from under the car instead of over. I didn't take the right front axle out and wish I did .. I also didn't unbolt the turbo from the crossover pipe and ... yep, wish I did. If you go that route, you might recommend changing the crossover pipe to turbo gasket as well; they get pretty used up after a while. maybe a new downpipe gasket as well as you'll have to take it off to get the turbo loose. be sure you use some PB blaster or yield before breaking any of those exhaust bolts loose, and use some anti-sieze goop on them when reinstalling. Also, do that RX owner a favor and talk them into letting you open up the bottom of the airbox If I was going to do all of that for someone, I'd ask for $75.. that seems a good price for the better part of a day spent under a car or stuck in the engine bay. Oh, and if you go to Napa, get some of the blue nitrile gloves; they are the best thing since (insert euphemism here) .. $12 for a 100-count box and they hold up much better than latex gloves, and little to no hand washing afterward!
