s'ko
I was getting rid of some dents on my floor board of my BRAT and when I started hammering, the sound proofing tar stuff chipped off. I guess w/age and heat, the tar stuffed turned into a hard plastic like stuff. The rest of the sound proofing I chipped off w/a screw driver. Has anyone else ever run across this? subie_newbie
It is very common. If you're worried about sound dampening or rust protection or just want it to blend in, you can buy spray-paint cans of 'repair' undercoating. You really don't need it! Loyale 2.7 Turbo
it happens when I was Repairin´ a Friend´s Brat, long time Ago... I think that stuff was made of some sort of Asphalt Thing... we leave the car without that on the Floor... but maybe that can leave to Rust the Floor Faster... Then the Owner of that car, told me that he took it to a place when people put there somethin´ called "Toff" that is an Epoxical "Thing" to Coat surfaces... it also comes in Spray, see this Page, is Related to the Toff Stuff: http://www.truckaccessorystore.com/acc_photo2.htm (the one that Says: "Spray Liner")
