lyonlyon
NEED the resistor pack that controls the speed of the heater fan for an 1987 gl ea82 ASAP as mechanic is pulling apart my dash next week to fix the no defrost problem, so while in there fix the motor speeds as well. Thanks Jeff PS I spent a hour or so chasing the leaking vac line(s) and seems to be back behing dash somewhere....was hoping for the easy disconected line fix but no go. GeneralDisorder
The resistor pack is easily accesible without removing the dash. There's no reason to rush getting one. Also these are dangerous to ship as they are very, very fragile. I would sugest, since you are in OR, that you visit a few junk yards. You should easily fine a half dozen of them. Subarian
I replaced mine with solid state resistors about 100,000 miles ago. I can't remember the resistance values, but I checked the resistance in the remaining coils and multiplied by what appeared to be the total. I went to an electronics parts store and spent a total of about $3.
Prospeeder
ha i got mine out of a junkyard car with no windsheld, or doors, moss growing inside, and i had the resitor sitting in the back window sliding around for like 2-3 days and i put it in and it works great, been about 3 months

dhise
I bought one new from Rock Auto a while back, think it was 30 bux. Took all of 5 minutes to swap in, nice to have all the blower speeds in the winter time. -Doug
