tuner-automotive
Will this 95+ Impreza Ebay special fit a 93 Legacy EJ22 ? Ill have to get the adapter for the MAF though , right?
86BRATMAN
If thats anything like the one I bought for my 95 Legacy, you'll need another rubber or sylicone coupler and the maf adapter. And may have to cut some off the end where the maf connects. Mine was really designed for the maf-less 2.5RS cars, but it worked without too much extra effort. Also, This is just a short ram intake, the cold air intake goes down into the fender well.
tuner-automotive
Where does the filter go then if it goes into the fenderwall? Is it inthe fenderwall ?
86BRATMAN
If its a true cold air, the maf would couple into two seperate pipes, and the filter would be in the fender well down near the bumper area. With this one you are looking at the filter will be in the same area as your stock air box
tuner-automotive
Yeah , I just want the short RAM as I drive in alot of snow and rain.
86BRATMAN
This should work out good for you then, may have to modify it slightly. Also when you take the maf off the box if yours has a metal piece that curves into the maf hole try to use it with the filter if at all possible asa that helps direct air over the maf filiment and will give more accurate readings. 86BRATMAN
Thats what I did on my mom's 98. I got her to get the maf adapter and filter because she was complaining about gas mileage, it alone bumped it up from 25 avg. to 28 mpg
