If I'm right in believing your Subaru XT6 is a 4 wheel drive (I don't know for certain) then you WANT 4 identical matching tires on ALL 4 corners ALL at the same air pressure.

yes it is AWD but the width doesnt matter. it the heigth of the tire. in this case the rear tires only be a little wider.

BUT: the heights of different width tires ARE different.

Look: it's your car, you WILL do what you like, but the AWD unit is:

1) expensive to fix.

2) well, not fragile, but not "bulletproof", given the opportunity to fail, it WILL.

As close as I can figure:

215/60/14= 24.16" diameter

225/60/14= 24.63" diameter

i dont think that much of a difference would hurt. in that case i'll put 22/60/14 all the way around. IF 225/60/14 will fit

will they?

I just bought new tires for my XT6 ..it was running 205/60 15s..it is now running 195/65 14s ( I replaced the rims with stock pie cutters ) I rather run the narrower tire here cause of snow..thinner tires handle better. I agree with Skip ( he is about a Subaru Genius) with going over to XT6.net..those people live and breath these cars and know about every little mod you can make to them...

And I love my XT6 too ...love to hate it at times:lol: when it runs good it runs great..when it is in one of its moods...I want to push it off a cliff.
