rverdoold
Modern high pressure commonrail-diesel are not suitable for PPO. Only the old indirect injection diesels. Lukas I know but that is what i call research and development.
rweddy
I would love to see this come to the states my old vw tdi got nearly 60 mpg and was way faster and easier to maintain than a hybred.

Faster than a hybrid. Faster than an Altima hybrid? GS450h? RX400h? Highlander hybrid? Accord hybrid? All of those cars have a 0 - 60 below 7 seconds. Plus there is not argument about longevity of a diesel compared to a hybrid. Another big down side of current hybrids you cannot maintain them yourself. You cannot even do oil changes on them safely without the proper grounding equipment.

Something to take into account vs. a hybrid's gasoline counterparts.
