ivantruckman
i have a 92 loyale, the power steering acts like its low on fluid, no noises , but the steering is choppy, belts are tight, fluid is up, no binding or bent front parts, can these units get an air bubble ???, if so is there a purge procedure. thanks in advance......... DrKrazy
Don't quote me one this but I believe the way to purge the system of air is just to go lock to lock several times with the steering wheel (at least this is always how I did it) but think it should just do it on it's own. With it being choppy I would think the belt is either slipping, or the pump might be going bad. Is it choppy in the same exact places? Might be in need of a new rack then...I haven't heard of too many people having to replace the rack in these cars though.
