Well, after many fustrating days and years with the EA82, and not being able to find an appropriate engine management system to run the car PROPERLY and RELIABLY no matter what money and time I spend...

It is EJ time.

But, again, I will boldy go where no one has gone before.

There are many of you out there with EJ22's in them...some of you have EJ25's....still there are others with EJ205s, EJ20G/K's...and some day soon, I am SURE there will be a complete EJ257 in one. I'm sure there are EJ207's in a few somewhere on this planet.

However...I'm sure no one has done this in an EA82 car yet.

EJ257 shortblock+2.5 RS heads+EJ205 Intake manifold+stock EJ257 exhaust manifold

Add in a VF39, water injection and an AEM for engine management...plus a US spec WRX transmission with some upgrades, and you've got some decent power. A RELAIBLE 350/350 or more at the crank.

It starts tonight.

Finnish time? Oh, I dont know...could take months.

subarubrat put a WRX drivetrain and built engine in an XT6. that's not an EA, but very close since since EA and ER trans and engines are interchangeable in terms of bolting up. so the work would be nearly identical in nature. i believe he was pushing 400 or more reliable HP in that. don't know if he ever posted info on that swap or not.
