lug conversion?

I have seen people get their standard hubs converted to 4 x 100 and 4 x 114.3. It doesn't look to hard, is completely illegal here, but I can't see how it could be unsafe unless it was ghetto hand drill done. You'd want a machine shop to do it. They would have the right tooling for the job.

If you can find an XT6, that is the way to go.. Better brakes as well I think.

legacy fronts and use a XT6 for the rear. hubs are the key bit. if you are handy use the STI bits. I have WRX under mine with the rear XT6 hubs. (which are scarce out here.)

And look into the rear e-brake mod using nissan calipers.

Your front brake upgrades would be virtually limitless.

  • 3 weeks later...
also does anyone in the pittsburgh area have a spare set of hubs (89 rx coupe) that i can practice with..?

For the fronts. You can use any EA82 hubs to practice with.

I doubt anyone will give up the rears. Getting too hard to find for the rear disc conversion.
