vic
Considering a new 2007 or 2006 Forester or Outback. Would appreciate your experiences or comments about these cars. Any problems with these models I should be aware of?
The Dude
I own a 2006 Forester. At 30,000 miles, no major problems. I believe that the 2006 is an improvement on my 1999 Forester. I'm getting about 2 better mpg with my 2006. I really like the Forester, but one of my primary reasons for owning one is its' towing capacity. ferret
Drive them both. They have different personalities, then make up your mind. Mechanically they are pretty much the same, so that shouldn't play into your decision.
Subarupusher
My sister is now finally happy with her 2006 Forester XT Turbo after about a year. It had a sticky hill holder that took two different dealers, 9 months, and several appointments to fix. Nice car, I will make her a serious offer on it if she wants to trade it in in a few years. The other thing to look at when comparing the Outback to the Forester is the interior measurments. The Outback is actually more spacious and I have seen the interior measurements that prove it.
