Zer0d
I went to go for a spin today and around 1/4 the way into my trip my coupe developed a knock. Not like broken rod or anything it comes and goes depending on engine speed and turn angle at speed. If I turn left it gets pretty bad but if I jerk right it goes away. If it's knocking and I hold in the clutch, it goes away, let it back in and it comes back (if i stay in gear that is). My oil pressure has also dropped to around 30psi from the normal 45psi or so. Then there's the chatter, sounds like a bunch of talking under the hood from both sides of the engine (tick of death?) Any ideas? This is a setback as I'm swamped with bills and may end up selling this one.
thealleyboy
Z: I would probably look at that oil pump immediately. After you get normal pressure, you'll be able to take it to the next step. Engine noise is never good, but it's also not as bad on these engines. Remember, it takes a while to break em in, and they die slow... good luck, John

I can't tell if you're talking about an engine trouble or something else in the car.
Zer0d
So far I've only heard it when in gear, and there seems to be an effect on running performance (on the way back i did baby it). It didn't seem to have as much pep as before. The noise, loss of power and oil pressure don't seem fun.
Sonicfrog
Sounds like two problems. Turning thing sounds like Cv joint issue. Loss of power and low oil pressure could be head gasket doing its thing - common on the EA Turbos. Check oil cap and dip stick for milky residue.
