pamike Posted April 15, 2007 Share Posted April 15, 2007 i thought it was comeing from the top hose but its not. i got a puddle of antifreeze under the intake laying on the top of the motor on the right side. it's running down the front and getting the timing cover wet. where could it be coming from. WoodsWagon Posted April 15, 2007 Share Posted April 15, 2007 THere's two coolant temp sensors under the intake on the passenger side. One of them could have sprung a leak. pamike Posted April 21, 2007 Author Share Posted April 21, 2007 i think i may have figured out my problem. i put the top rad hose on the other day and i still had the puddle. i just found out it is oil not coolant. so i think i had 2 leaks. after fixing the hose and still seeing wetness i assumed it was coolant. the sensor below the alt is the oil pressure sensor and i think it's leaking. it is possable for it to break and leak out the top right? do i have to remove the alt to change it and is it a part most auto stores have in stock. porcupine73 Posted April 21, 2007 Share Posted April 21, 2007 Not sure if auto parts stores carry that, but it is most likely 1/8" BSPT (british standard pipe tapered thread), so you could plug it temporarily if needed.
