I went offroading with a couple of friends.

There rigs are as follows:

Sam- Ford ranger with a locked rear and a LSD front. On 36" worn TSL boggers.8000 LB winch

Kurt-Chevy S10 33" mud tires

Dave(ski...)-Ford superduty diesel.Stock size

Sam's Girl-Ford bronco,stock size AT tires,351 V8

ME!!!1987 SUBARU GL,24" agressive snow tires on 15X7 chevy steelies,Swaybar delete,EJ swap,Mastery of Handbrake LSD...

Sam lead.Makes sense cause he was the most built up.Then dave, then sam's GF, then me,then kurt bringing up the rear. Its been raining off and on for the past 5 day or so.So I follow them in my order...Behind the bronco was a major pain in the rear.It got hung up on every log/stump in the trail and had to take several runs to get clear. So it involved alot of waiting.Usually right after clawing my way up a steep muddy rutted hill...

The I started having problems with the fuel pump.First the wires kinda hung low and got snagged on something which riped one apart. So I had to wire that back in.Got rid of the connectors and brought the wires under the rear seat where they would be safe. Then numerous times the Zip tie mounting of my fuel pump would fail which would cause the fuel line to kink and the the motor dies...Finally kurt gave me some bailing wire and its still holding:banana: .In this one section there was a berm about a ft high with a sloping side on the other side.I got about 40 ft away from it then punched it.I got about 3 ft of air.The only bad thing was I had a ton of stuff in the back.Something flew up and shattered my rear window:dead: .I had this nice calvin sticker on the window...I will miss that little guy.Back to story. Then we go up a trail and the superduty gets stuck(took 2 winches to get him out).I don;t know much more of the action because I had to run back to lewiston. On the way back to the main road I couldnt see out the front window(no wiper fluid, means the wipers wouldn't remove the mud that was caked on(remember I sat around for an hour while the superduty was stuck).I see this large mud hole that I had no way off avoiding so I picked a line floored it and pulled the handbrake.I went about 15 ft in and momentum stoped and I was stuck.kurt pulled me out cause he followed me back to main road to make sure I made it.

Theres my story. It was awesome how a more or less stock subi could play with the big boys in mud.

Sorry about no action photo's...

Thing to remember when offroading.

Make sure Fuel pump is securly mounted with wires so they wont get torn off.

Open headers suck going backwards. They get stuffed full up mud.The EJ22 can blow out the debris that gets in there.(even underwater...)

DO NOT HAVE A METRIC TON OF CRAP IN YOUR WAGON AND JUMP IT...
