wrxsubaru
While i was taking out the auto out of my SVX iI restd my hand on the ac hose going from the ac compresor to the fire wall, and when I lifted my hand off of it it started to hiss/leak it leaked for about 20-30 mins at the end of the hose were it conects to the compresor. Is thee a gasket, I tried tightening it down but it dident stop or even slow down the leak because the bolt was already tight. ANy ideas on how to fix it? nathan
the ac hoses have o rings. It doesn't make sense that the oring could have been disturbed with hand pressure unless it was very loose and then it would have been leaking from the ac pressure. My guess is that you cracked the hose or metal fitting when you leaned on it. Get a new hose from junkyard and refill the system with on of those r134a systems you can get from the auto store, it's cheap and it works. Legacy777
yeah check o-rings and retrofitting does work. I am pretty sure I posted instructions on retrofitting my legacy....doing a search should show something.
