NoahDL88
if the top is black and says Subaru FI then its spfi, one injector, under the rubber hose. the MPFI had injectors near the spark plugs, if you don't see anything around the spark plugs then you have spfi, in a GL non turbo or non GL-10 then you have spfi. electryc_monk
heres a hint from a MPFI user. SPFI intakes will have a hose that goes into the EA82 intake parallel to the crankshaft and will be a long hose similar to the hose of an XT6 intake. (after the MAF to the aluminum manifold) the MPFI (exception is the coveted spider intake) will be a perpendicular vertical intake tube that has a molded plate with MPFI or Subaru FI molded into the plastic intake tube's top surface. Case in point to keep one thinking this way, its how you can tell its a turbo model as the turbo uses a aluminum perpendicular intake setup which is (basically speaking) the same as the MPFI intake. (that's why you can see the molded "Turbo" or "4wd Turbo" or "subaru Turbo" on its top serface. That work better for you? simple question, yes. stupid? no.
