moosens
Just happened to breeze through my '81-82 FPM and noticed some models although designated as "2door,4door,hardtop" are marked as "FE" meaning Fuel Economy. Those 1982 models are: 2door w/1.8 (and not the 1.6 also available! :-\ )that had a 5spd (JF1AF43B*CB)100001 and after 4doors w/5spd 1.8 (JF1AB43B*CB)200001 and after and Hardtops (a.k.a. "Coupes as many of us refer to them) 1.8 5spd (JF1AW44B*CB)30001 and after. Seems weird how none of the 1.6's are FE. I do not have my other FPM's handy from '83 and up.But if someone else does I'd like to know if they continued the "FE"....and don't forget,it's not a model,it's a listed feature. The REAL FE was produced in '78 and '79. More info-my '81 FPM did not show this same info.No mention of FE in the same model/feature/classification listing. See you late tonight or tomorrow! moosens
hmmmive always seen them marked as glf's You've seen a 4door or wagon GLF??? Don't confuse the GLF with what I posted, please. This is not a model designation, its a feature, notated on certain models. We own a 1982 GLF automatic, and it's not part of the "FE" group. 4x4_Welder
Probably soemthing like my 82 DL wagon, 2wd 5speed overdrive, and 1BBL carb. Not too long on power, but got 35+ being beaten. Downside was, it had to be beaten to make it keep up with traffic.
