junkyardgabe
to whoever has put an xt6 motor in an e81: what do you have to use for a transmission? Can you use the e81 or do you have to use the e82? Do you have to move the radiator or is there enough space?
subarubrat
This pic should answer most of your questions. The EA81 tranny may be used. The basic clutch combo is a EA81 clutch disk and a EA82 flywheel and pressure plate. That combo works fine for a stock ER27 but as HP goes up be prepared to pay for a suitable setup. clutchmasters for example. The motor mounts will have to be fabbed. The front of the engine comes very close to the grill and a radiator suitable for cooling the big 6 will not fit in that area. That leaves you with a solution like mine or Adam N.D.J. My radiator flips up for engine access and the fan clears by about a quarter of an inch. This is with a 6 inch body lift so clearly this option is out without a lift. The lift must also be designed to accomodate the width of the ER27.
