I figure the bumpers are actually painted. Lower half of the 2-tone Outbacks is painted, as are the bumpers. Any trim pieces that are black in color are the natural plastic coloring and are not painted (on base models these may include door trim guard molding, side mirror body, door handles etc...). I figure the bumpers are actually painted. My 98 from factory De-stickered Notice the wheel well lips and above the door rub strip.
