TROGDOR!
So what kind of gas mileage have you guys been able to squeeze out of an EA82? I just managed 33MPG on the highway in an 88 XT4 2WD 5 speed with spider intake.

XSNRG
When I drove Snowstormers wagon out to Montana, I got 420 miles on a tank driving through Western Montana and it was not empty when I filled up. I figured 35mpg easy, maybe more. That's by far the best mileage I've ever got from a Soob.
BlueTrain
right now 22-24 mixed driving, but its winter now and all the stations have the seasonal ethanol mix which lowers the mpg. we'll see once spring comes....

Warp3
Right now I'm getting about 23.5mpg average on my '86 RX Turbo, but I can't keep my foot out of the boost...lol. In comparison, I average about 22.5mpg out of the '99 2.5RS.
Snowman
My parents claim that when their 87 carbed 4wd wagon was new, they got 40-45 mpg cruising the highways in Oregon. One time when the little orange light came on while I was still 50 miles out from any civilization, I managed over 50 mpg. More downhill than up, but no coasting. WagonsOnly
With the same car as yours, only with a 4EAT (cuts the revs down) we averaged 36mpg between Paul's place in Milford and the CT/MA line. It's almost 70 miles, just for the heck of it we filled up at the Mobilgas station on I-95 and again at the Citgo about a mile from home...took something like 1.8 gallons. (The Forester took 3.1. Yuck!) And that was with a rotted muffler and a driver w/ a lead foot (NOT me, I was driving my Forester).
