kklsmith
Wow - this sight is the gas! One problem answered. Now my next one. The seat belt icon is blinking on my dash board. I've check both front shoulder restraints - they lock up when jerked. Same with front lap belts. All rear belts also do the same. The manual says to see the dealer immediately. What does this blinking icon indicate? Thanks, Ken

What does this blinking icon indicate? Thanks, Ken It may be as simple as the switch inside the seatbelt latch not working. The car still thinks you need to put on your seatbelt. replace the latch or remove wires and splice them closed or open, whichever is the *latched* postion do the motors for the electric belt still work and latch properly? Andy FitzGibbon
If it has power seat belts, they may not be returning all the way. There's a tool (funny bent allen wrench) in a small pocket below the rear seat. Use it to manually crank the belt all the way back to the "locked" position. The owners manual explains how. Then, fix it, or just duck under the belt like I do. I agree with Gloyale's diagnosis of a possible bad switch in the buckle, too. Andy
kklsmith
Thanks for giving me an idea of where to start looking. After comparing the driver and passenger side automatic shoulder belts, I found the passenger side didn't return quite all the way to fully seat where it's supposed to. I found a piece of rubber that was bent down and blocking it's return. Rubber removed and she likes the feeling now. Ken
