86BRATMAN
I was looking at the analog cluster I have from one of these cars. And I'm curious what sensor or signal makes the turbo gauge work?
carfreak85
Sorry I can't help you, both of mine are Digi.
Turbone
The digi and analog are the same. They both use a pressure switch located on the passenger side strut tower. Its a dual purpose switch, sending a signal to the ECU telling it to increase injector duration when boost increases. At 1psi it sends a signal to the light on the dash. 86BRATMAN
Is that the one that has "BOOST SENSOR" written on it?
mikeshoup
The analog gauge runs off of the one labeled Boost Sensor. Its a variable electric sender. The digital gauge uses the pressure switch. Since the EA81T analog dash has a gauge and not a light, the pressure switch isn't used for the dash at all on the analog.
