Pooparu
I have a 1998 subaru outback and the dash keeps making a sloshing sound when I take off. I thought that the radiator was just low on coolant so I filled it up, but it still makes a sloshing sound. Do I have air in my cooling system or a bad heater core? If it is air how do I get it out? (and please don't say heater core because I really don't want to replace it)
nipper
Two possabilities : 1- The drain hose for the HVAC system is clogged and water form the ac is collecting in the box. 2- Air in the radaitor. Start the car with the cap off. Let ti warm up enough for the car to spit up (thermostat opens) and top off with the car running. Put cap back on and rive around the block. Make sure the overflow is at the middle level, shut off car let cool. Check coolant level when car is cold. nipper
