I was searching around and saw a company called ozified out of cali. Has anyone ever bought their product? Their prices seem decent. I contacted them regaurding a possible group buy for an EJ lift and asked for a number needed to manufacter the lift. I am awaiting a response. Would anyone else be interested if the price was right? The EA lifts are going in the $300 range.

I've bought a couple of kits from Ozified.

What Rob said... a couple?

I have bought 1 kit from Ozified. VERY well built and designed. Should last longer than the subaru its bolted on to. Install wasnt too difficult either. I would buy another if I had a liftable subaru. (not lifting the baja til the warranty is up)

Hello All,

ZAP has helped me prototype the EJ lift. His is done and will be installed after the WCSS9, or after his new house  and family priorities.

The EJ lift varies slightly through the years (e.g. 90-91, 92-94, 95, 00, 03 etc), and steel, aluminum and bolt prices are very spendy nowadays. Also, all models will have to already have or upgrade to Outback struts (~$350) because the lift does not allow fitment of larger tires with the stock struts. All-in-all, the kits would have to cost around $500, then add the struts and your talking $850+ before tires. I am reluctant to start production, because of variations, price and available time.

I recommend contacting SJR Lifts... or perhaps AA if they offer an EJ lift.

Do AAs come with struts? If I remember aren't their kits around $900 for an EJ? Would it be possible to do something for the 90-99 models? The 00 and up have a completely diff suspension setup but the 90-99s seem to just be upper strut tower pattern differences on the rear. Maybe something could be done as far as a multi bolt pattern for the upper mounting. Would it help if we maybe got a list of deffinates and possibly deposits to get a more reasonable priced EJ lift together? Your price doesnt seem to bad and if there was a set price this could be done for it might motivate people instead of it becoming another unsolved dead thread that will resurface every once in awhile.

the problem is that a lift kit involves more than just strut tops. like PK said, the suspension varies slightly, and different kits would probably need to be made (and there are differences between imps and legacies).

and, there are no easy struts that allow room for bigger tires. even with outback struts, you'll be rubbing on the spring perches before you have to do any serious fender trimming (meaning a lift wouldn't help....).

I guess I am just gonna start fabbing myself. I am starting to kick around the idea of making some modifications to the stock spring perches and doing a Honda type spring. There is a place down the street from me that will make any type of suspension part you could ever want at a fair price. My whole issue with wanting to buy a kit is time, but I want to come up with a solution to the tire issue. I run an all used Subaru parts shop so cutting up struts and trial and error on modified parts will be no big deal. I will be starting a thread when it gets going and will have lots of pics.

I started kicking around the idea of my lift to a friend (who is one of those I will fab anything people) and he is psyhced about the new project car. I have a couple of other cars to finish up in the upcoming weeks so for this week it will only be the outback struts and and the wheels and tires, just so I can stand driving it. After that we will start the plans and get rolling. Once it is done and if it seems reliable we will be kicking around the idea of a master plan layout with enough variations to keep it universal enough to work on different EJ laylouts, and maybe come up with a kit for sale at a good price. It will obviously be hammered hard to make sure everything is reliable before we even consider finalizing it and producing more.:Flame:
