kingbobdole
So I have a few questions about the oil sandwich that comes stock on the turbo EA81s. As I know there are three fittings that come out of it... Two go to the oil cooler and the third one goes to the turbo. Firstly... Is there a pressure drop for the line going to the turbo? If so is it built into the sandwich part? The plan is to hook it up with the cooler this way and then the turbo line straight to the turbo... with some rubber to make it work on my **-*. Also if anyone has the complete setup and wants to sell it... pm me and let me know, I'd like one. Thanks!
Turbone
Theres a thermo valve on the sandwich part. It operates when the oil temp is below 155deg, sending oil to the turbo. Once the oil starts to warm up, the valve starts to close diverting oil to the cooler. Depending on what you want to use it for, you might be able to remove the valve and divert the oil to go to the cooler only.
