SmashedGlass
Anyone ever swap one of those in to a GL/RX? They're rather dirt cheap from what I've seen pop up on the importer's websites, but I'm not sure if the second turbo would cause interference problems or not. I know it's only rated at like 160hp, but it should have potential....and did I mention they're cheap? And the word 'twin-turbo' always gets the ladies

I don't know what ej20tt you're talking about but 260hp sounds more reasonable fitting it is a pita, because the second turbo takes up the same space as the brake master cilinder and steering column, so unless you can live without those two it won't be a straight forward swap. Jerry DeMoss
I have the heads off of that engine that you speak of. EJ20H is what it is. I going to be using those heads on a ej22t block that I have. The tt setup isn't worth the trouble of messing with. You are better off taking that engine and coverting it over to a single turbo like a td04 or a vf39.That would be pretty fun to run in an old ea car. There are a few guys on this site that have done so. SmashedGlass
Yes, I realized my error on the hp figure afterwards. I was thinking that the most feasible idea would be to make a custom manifold and make it single turbo. Hmmm....now to find the $$$$$ eventually. But first, let's blow up the EA muah-haha-ha! kingbobdole
you won't need a custom manifold, any ej20t manifold will fit (or with minor modifications) EJ22T should fit as well.... most impreza/legacy/EJ series parts are interchangeable for the most part
crazy D
since all ej parts are mostly interchangeable, could you build a ej18TT using ej20H stuff? are the pistons interchangable?...and anybody heard of a twin supercharged ea/ej?
86BRATMAN
Ej18 and EJ20 rods are interchangable, not the pistons though. And you could make a turbo'd ej18. I know of someone on here doing it right now.

I've heard of a few twin charged EJs. and doug (reddevil) even ran twin superchargers on his legacy for awhile. as mentioned, the bore is different from 18 to 20....so the pistons won't fit without substantial overboring (which would be a baaaaad idea on an open deck block...unless you're sleeving......in which case, just start with a stronger block).
