About a week or so ago I smelled something burning. I thought it was another car but it turned out to be my overhead clock. It started operating very strangely and now it does not work at all.

I've followed the threads here and there is a member who will repair these clocks at no charge. I've PM'd him and have not received an answer.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with him? Is there someone else out there that can repair these clocks? I'd be willing to pay a reasonable amount for repair and return shipping. :)

Dealer price for a new clock module is a whopping $53!! :slobber:

Thanks in advance for your help.

It's an easy fix, do you have a solder gun?

Took me about 30 seconds once it was out of the car.

It's just a simple "Spot Weld".

I think the resistor might have gone south. The one labeled 501. Does anyone have the value for this one ?

I fixed my 99 by simply resoldering the little part on the circuit board that came loose back to the spot where it obviously loosened from. It's very tiny <5mm longx2mm wide as I remember, and if it falls out while you are working on it, you will probably not find it.

This thread has the answer....
