SakoTGrimes
Just curious if we ever got EA81 dual range sedans in the US. I've never seen one.
Turbone
I know there were 4wd 4dr models available, but not sure about D/R.
GeneralDisorder
I've seen a few. They weren't real common, but then none of the EA series "sedans" were common. Wagons and Hatch's were the most common. GD
hatchsub
I thought for sure someone on here said that sedans with 4wd could only be had with single range autos. Maybe the ones you saw were converted?
SakoTGrimes
Nah, I've just seen Australians wheeling sedans and got jealous since I've never seen them here. But they only have like 2 hatches ha ha!

Maybe the ones you saw were converted? That was the coupe - only the Turbo's were 4WD, and thus were single range 3AT's. GD
Leeroy
Just thought I would add that Australia did not get any EA81 sedans with 4WD. Although I have seen quite a few in my time, especially in Queensland for some reason! It must be a relatively easy conversion with wagon parts. We did get EA82 4WD sedans with either dual range manual or 3AT and of course the RX Turbo.
Turbone
Heres the brochure from 84. Only available in 84 with 3AT pushbutton 4wd. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/Literature/brochures/1984-c.jpg
GeneralDisorder
Interesting - perhaps the ones I've seen were converted. Would make sense when the 3AT goes south. GD
Turbone
Might have also been available as a special order option. If you have the money, they will have what you want. Its just a matter of waiting for it.
