SLudwig
When I switch the HVAC control from dash (mid) vents to either floor or defrost, the side vents never turn off (the center vents do turn off). The side vents in the dash have on/off dials under them (but the two center vents do not) so to keep hot air on the windshield or my toes but not blowing at my face I have to manually turn off the side-vent whenever I'm in defrost or floor mode. Is this normal for this model? Thanks, Scott

SLudwig
In my mind I think I tested this, several times, using floor and defrost, but I might be wrong ... maybe it's only on defrost. Regardless, you have already confirmed that it is normal (but annoying). Thanks!
RallyKeith
The knob only controls the center vents on teh car. It's been that way as far back as I can remember, and I'm 99% my 05 Legacy is still that way. Not exactly sure why they do it that way, but that's the way it is.
