GJTaranto
On my 92 hot wire maf, I have 3 wires. A black one (GND), a signal wire, and a Red (+12V I believe) Is the red +12V supposed to be the same voltage as my TPS, or any of my other sensors and/or battery. I checked out my MAF voltage and got like +10V, checked out the TPS and got +12V. If they are supposed to be the same then my MAF isnt getting the correct voltage, anyone know where the MAF red wire connects to as far as its power source? Cougar
My info shows the red wire of the MAF sensor goes to pin 17 of the ECU. The other wires are white and black. They also go to the ECU on pins 8 and 9 respectively. The info states that the voltage at pin 17 should be between 10-12 volts. Pin 8 should be between 0.1-0.5 volts. daeron
http://ch601.org/engines.htm EA82 FSM files available there, includes the SPFI system breakdown, diagnostic and repair procedures. all the info you need. its in part 2. don't worry that its an 89 manual, its all the same as long as the parts are (ie, hotwire AF versus flapper AFM)
