waimaks
So while at an 'oldschool' meet this last weekend, I got talking to a guy who said he had some brochures I might be interested in. Two days later in the mail. AUS/NZ 1981 Subaru sales brochures. Mint condition! Looks similar to the US ones but a bit different. One has a price written on it, $12395! I have higher res if anyone would like. The cover Inside page 1 inside page 2 Back cover #2 Cover Inside Pages Inside folded out

cubastreet
Mad rump roast 70s colours. Did u race the ute at the nats boe?
Leeroy
Always loved that 70s lime green and the white 'Subaru' stripes. It is funny how many people think I have re-painted my 78 wagon but it is still the original lime green and white stripes!
waimaks
Rotated! Todd, email on the way hopefully. I also am really digging the crazy eighties colours, had originally planned on leaving the brumby beige, but that green with white decals is pretty appealling at the moment. Cubastreet- I didn't enter the trackday, nasty clacky cv's, clutch on its way out didn't really seem up for it, I will be better organised next year. I guaruntee it. Pictures will be taken. cubastreet
OK my ute should be back on the road in a couple of weeks too so we can duel, I doubt many others will have such lame power/weight ratio.
waimaks
Oh I dunno. There were a few slugs there. Two road going gen 1 brumbys in one place would be awesome. I might post a few pictures of the weekend here, you guys might find them interesting.
Jerry DeMoss
Anyone else spot that little white cooling fan positioned on the engine? Don't think I have seen one positioned in that way before.Especially on the pushrod motors. Looks like a ea71 if I had my guess. Did all of the non U.S. models come this way? cubastreet
The New Zealand ones were assembled here, and they were slightly different spec. My ea81 has a fan like that plus an electric fan.

That is very interesting. None of the U.S. models( I am pretty sure anyway) came with a belt driven fan. I believe the first ones were on the ea82's. Someone please help me out if I am wrong. I find this kind of stuff very interesting!
waimaks
And yeah, all 5 ea81's I've had round have had the fan now that I think of it.
