lhrocker
Does anyone know what plugs are used on a 2k3 Legacy SE? Can I use standard NGK's like in my 97, or should they be platinum/iridium? Are the plugs easy to change, like my 97, or is it more of a PITA? Thanx, Pete
nickb21
I've used NGK V-power (copper) and G-power (plat) on my '02 OBW and they seem to do just fine. The G-powers are only a buck more a plug, but I couldn't tell you if it was worth it or not. Should be a bit easier than your '97 since these are SOHC and the plug hole is slightly angled up. I've been able to replace them with just pulling the washer fluid resevoir and the air intake.
porcupine73
If you go to NGK spark plugs USA web site and put in your info, it will show you what plugs are available. There was a thread on this not too long ago and the general consenses seemed to be that the copper v-power plugs, changed at proper intervals, were a good choice. The iridiums and platinums are intended to give longer time between service intervals. I've run the iridiums in '00obw seem to work great. Running the v-power's in '96 and '94 2.2L's and those work great too. On the '00 they are fairly easy to change. Treat yourself you a set of OEM plug wires while you're in there if yours are at all looking worn.
Slegacy96
NGK platinums will do better than fine.
