We're all good guys. As far as quirks, there's too many too list. Check your owner's manual next time for the proper fluid to use, as well as for everything else. Never assume anything. If you need to know everything there is about your car, get a set of factory service manuals (FSMs for short). I loved reading the 86 XT one. So many cool gadgets to learn about If everyone read their owner's manual, we wouldn't have the posts wondering about the parking lights still on, or why does the 4WD make the car hop around corners on dry pavement. And they are the only real information you can trust for acurate, specific information about you're Subaru. Yeah 60 bucks is expensive for books, but soooooooo worth it. Best to get the right year FSM though. Espescially if you have an 85, 86, 87. After 88 almost everything is the same. (90 percent of stuff is the same anyhow, with main differences being fuel systems and wiring, chassis stuff is all the same. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ussually no split folding rear seat either. But I love the Quad headlight setup, way easier to replace if you get a rock chip, and brigter ussually too. I hardly know anyone in this thread or anything about these cars. calebz Posted July 16, 2007 Share Posted July 16, 2007 Probably a good idea. Couple of things that will make your time here a little less problematic. 1 - this is a family friendly site. Personally, I often have my kid in the room while I surf the site. I'm not interested in explaining to her what someone is trying to say when bypassing the swear filter. 2 - The swear filter is in place for a reason. If you can't type it without it getting filtered, don't type it here. 3 - I do take this somewhat seriously for the reasons explained in number 1. 4 - You're new here. Welcome and enjoy. Just remember that this is a big house inhabited by people that have been here a lot longer than you and that there are standards of conduct known to them that might not be known to you. There are two easy ways to find out what those standards are. The first would be to observe and emulate (IE: Are there people swearing, posting porn, posting street racing threads and bong reviews?). The second is to simply do whatever you want and accept whatever consequences there may be. Seriously though - there are some insanely cool people here. Its a good place. Help us keep it that way.
