1976 4x4 wagon on Australian eBay...

Recommended Posts

My first Sub was a 76 wagon. I bought it right after I ruined a 1962 Jeep Cherokee (sport model of the Wagoneer). That subie did everything the Cherokee did cheaper and with more bounce. 3 feet of fresh snow? Through it like a shark in shallows. And I could put half my apartment into it when I moved and it still bounced along. Ruined me for everything except my Suburban (70 mph in living-room comfort).

Me too but i have three cars already and I live in Wellington - the city with the least space.

My ute should be back on the road this week, that should make me happy anyway. I have a mazda with over twice the power, but it's just not a soob.

I hear ya.

Where have you found best to get parts for the Gen'1's?

What does your Chassis number start with also?

NA5?

For ball joints, cvs etc repco and super************e were absolutely useless so I go to a local place called collins where the guys there don't mind looking around for stuff.

For a front cv the guy ordered one in, then when it was wrong, he ordered the same part number from another supplier to see if it was right - it was.

I'll have a look at the chassis no. today.

Just looked at the 73 coupe again and realised it is a GSR :slobber: not a GL! Somebody buy that thing!!!

Seems like there a a few GSRs in New Zealand!

I want, I want :slobber: :slobber: :slobber:

Yeah it's pretty cool. Paint and lower it and work the engine a little to get the most of those twin carbs and it'll be mean.
